Boy Scout on a compass

Camporee is a weekend campout for troops and crews around the district.  Patrols compete in various competitions and are judged on leadership, teamwork, skill demonstration and Scout spirit.

Registration is done by the unit leader online with credit card, electronic check or PayPal. The registration fee is $15 for Scouts and leaders and includes a patch and t-shirt if registered by 2/16/18. There is no onsite registration. Council refund policy

This year's camporee will be a Scout based program run by a core group of Scouts with proven leadership skills; they will use their abilities to group others and promote Scout skills through games suitable for Scouts from Webelos through Eagle Scout. The concept is simple and parallels the OA Pow Wow and Arrowmen Bash programs Colonneh Lodge has used over the years.

  • No set timetables beyond basic rally points are needed.
  • Scouts will move freely between activities.
  • Adult leaders are encouraged to monitor Scout involvement and evaluate the performance of the Scouts while supporting security as needed.

To make this work, Scouts will need to step up and take ownership, be leaders, work through the EDGE (Explain, Demonstrate, Guide, and Enable) method to reap the personal reward of accomplishment. Scouts broaden their circle of Scouting through these activities, and maybe earn a few new friends along the way.

Check-in starts at 6:00 pm Friday and check-out by 11:00 am on Sunday.
